Date Set for Community Fun Day

The Community Club have set a date for a Fun Day to be held at Woodhead Community Centre. A number of local groups have said they would be interested in taking part. We hope that there will be lots of fun activities for all ages, bringing the community together on Saturday 13th September 2008. There will be a raffle on the day. Put the date in your diaries and further details will follow nearer the time. If you are interested in taking part or helping on the day please let us know.

Club Fundraising

To start the fundraising for the Woodhead Community Club, Kate Raffan ran an "all day coffee morning" at her house in Woodhead on Tuesday 28th August. This was very successful and raised enough funds to pay for the public liability insurance to enable the Club to start running classes.

Thank you all who came along to lend their support, donate raffle prizes and homebakes.

A quick update on the fundraising competition to guess the teddy bear's birthday: the birthday draw was held at the Fyvie British Legion on Saturday 29th September. The winning birthday was APRIL 10th and the winner of the bear was John Ferrier, c/o Nexen Petroleum U.K. Limited in Aberdeen.
