Sat 21st April   The coffee morning Action Earth sponser bird box making was an excellent social event with something of interest for everyone. The grandest design of bird house competition had an excellent entry thanks especially to the 1st Fyvie Brownies. The winners were Erin Duguid and Liam Taylor. Well done. Many thanks to Liz Ogston who kindly judged the competition. Building a bird box or bat box from a kit proved very popular and there should be many very happy birds with brand new houses this year. The photo albums of the local species of flowers, butterflies, moths as well as lots of beastie pictures were enjoyed by members of the community who participated in the coffee morning. Lots of new people to the area attended and had the chance to learn about the trust. The event was sponsered by CVS with a grant of £50 towards expenses.

Congratulations To Woodhead and Windyhills Community Trust.

Woodhead and Windyhills Community Trust were runners-up in the Communications section of the Calor Gas Community of the Year awards. The presentation was made in Edinburgh on the 21st of November 2006 by Malcolm Chisholm MSP. Minister of Communities.
